Messages are only stored locally on your device and the recipient's device

To provide our services, BitcChat requires the following permissions:

Bluetooth permissions: To discover nearby devices and establish connections

Bluetooth admin permissions: To manage Bluetooth settings

Location permissions: Required by the Android system for Bluetooth scanning

Your messages are transmitted directly between devices and are not processed or stored on our servers. This peer-to-peer architecture enhances privacy by eliminating the need for centralized message storage.

BitcChat is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do not:

Sell your personal information to third parties

Share your connection history or device information with advertisers

Have access to your message content, as it's transmitted directly between devices

4. DATA RETENTION

BitcChat stores your connection history and user preferences locally on your device. This information is retained until you:

Delete your connection history through the app settings

Uninstall the application

Message content is stored only on your device and the recipient's device, and we have no ability to access or delete these locally stored messages.

5. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES

You have the right to:

Access and modify your profile information within the app

Delete your connection history through app settings

Control your Bluetooth visibility and connection settings

Uninstall the application, which removes all app data from your device

6. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

BitcChat is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can take necessary actions.

7. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted in the app and on our website. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted.

Advertising

The Application uses AdMob (Google Mobile Ads) to show advertisements.

AdMob may collect and use your data to provide better targeted ads based on your interests. This data may include device information, user interactions with ads, and general location information.

The Service Provider may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:

You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling it. You may use the standard uninstall processes available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.

Data Retention Policy

The Service Provider will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. If you would like them to delete User Provided Data that you have provided via the Application, please contact them at wawtopic@gmail.com, and they will respond within a reasonable time.

8. SECURITY

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Since BitcChat operates using Bluetooth technology, please be aware of the following:

Bluetooth has a limited range, typically up to 100 meters in optimal conditions

Physical obstacles may reduce connection quality or range

As with any wireless technology, there are inherent security limitations
